Stop the Power Line Threat to Central Oregon – Speak Out by May 9

Pacific Power is planning a massive high-voltage transmission line from Klamath to Prineville to power Facebook and Apple data centers. One proposed path, Alternative E, would cut directly through Dobbin Acres — a quiet rural neighborhood known for its natural beauty, open space, and wildlife.
If selected, this route would:
• Run power lines through private properties
• Disrupt wildlife corridors
• Increase wildfire risk
• Permanently change the character of the area

Why It Matters to All of Central Oregon:
This isn’t just about Dobbin Acres. It affects communities from Bend to Redmond and Prineville. Once it’s built, the damage can’t be undone.
The Fire Risk Is Real
Above-ground power lines in dry, windy areas are a major wildfire hazard. Lines can fall, arc, or spark from vegetation contact — all of which can ignite fast-moving fires in the high desert.
There Are No Good Options — But Alternative E Is the Worst
The current proposal offers no ideal path, but Alternative E would do the most harm to people and the environment. It’s up to us to stop it.
Take Action Before May 9
Submit a public comment urging officials to reject Alternative E and choose a safer, smarter route. Tell neighbors, friends, and local groups. Public pressure only works if we show up in numbers.
